Abstract

The previous research results showed the fact that the level of job satisfaction of nurses in the world and Indonesia is still relatively low. Low nurse job satisfaction not only affects employee withdrawal and turnover but also mental health and burnout. Apart from that, job satisfaction also influences patient satisfaction, especially in hospitals. Based on survey results, the level of job satisfaction of nurses at Yos Sudarso hospital is at a moderate level. This community service aims to increase nurse managers' knowledge regarding the factors that influence nurses' job satisfaction in hospitals. The activity method is implemented through lecture-based education with interactive communication with twenty one nurse managers. This community service activity was carried out over two days at different times by providing education starting from preparation, implementation of activities, and evaluation of activities. The benefit of this community service is an effort to improve and equip nurse managers with the factors that influence nurse job satisfaction so that they can increase nurse retention in hospitals. The results of the activity showed an increase in nurse managers' knowledge regarding the factors that influence nurses' job satisfaction. It is hoped that after this community service activity, nurse managers can be motivated to strive for improvement through job satisfaction factors so that it will increase nurse job satisfaction.
