The success of the IMD program is strongly influenced by several factors, one of which is socialization. Socialization is a way of conveying information to the public and can influence their knowledge and understanding of something. Lack of knowledge from parents, and medical authorities, and reluctance to do so makes IMD still rarely practised. The implementation of IMD is a new thing in Indonesia, especially in several hospitals in Padang City, both government and private hospitals. Information about the IMD process is very influential in shaping the intention of mothers who will soon give birth to want to apply the IMD process after childbirth. Health facilities such as hospitals should help new mothers to perform IMD. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining the implementation of socialization about the benefits of IMD in Padang City.
Dian Paramitha Asyari Fadhilatul Hasnah Copyright (c) 2024 Dian Paramitha Asyari, Fadhilatul Hasnah 2024-06-30 2024-06-30 3 1 6 12 10.33757/jpik.v3i1.59 Optimizing the Role of the Family as Supervisors of Drug Ingestion in Pulmonary TB Patients http://jpik.stikesalifah.ac.id/index.php/pengmas/article/view/58
Pulmonary TB control is influenced by the compliance of pulmonary TB patients in taking medication. Patient non-compliance in taking anti-tuberculosis drugs causes the incidence of pulmonary TB to still be high. Family involvement in the care of pulmonary TB patients determines the success of treatment. One of the family's roles is to monitor medication swallowing. Based on these problems, it is necessary to optimize the role of the family as supervisors of drug swallowing in pulmonary TB patients. The aim of the community service activities carried out is to increase the role of the family as supervisors of medication swallowing.
